The Initiation Policies

Cancellations & Refunds

All retreat bookings for The Initiation are subject to the following cancellation and refund policies:

• Within 3 months of the start date: Payments are non-refundable.

• More than 1 month prior to the start date: In some cases, we may consider transferring your payment toward a future retreat. Please note that at present there are no retreats planned for 2026, and we cannot guarantee that the same pricing will be available.

• Within 1 month of the start date: Payments are non-refundable, and no transfer of credit will be possible.

We strongly encourage participants to confirm their commitment before registering, as retreat spaces are limited and require significant preparation.

Health, Covid & Sickness Policy

Your physical and energetic preparation plays an important role in the depth of your retreat experience. In the weeks leading up to The Initiation, we recommend:

• Eating a nourishing, healthy diet.

• Minimizing overstimulation (including excess social media, news, or draining conversations).

• Spending more time in nature, journaling, and meditating.

• Reducing social engagements at least two weeks prior, to support your body, mind, and energy in preparation for ceremony.

This guidance not only enhances your retreat journey but also helps reduce the risk of illness.

Sickness Prior to the Retreat
If you become unwell before the retreat begins, our standard cancellation and refund policies will apply.

Covid Policy

• If you test positive for Covid and still choose to attend, you will be accommodated in a private camping area on the retreat grounds and asked to maintain social distancing.

• You will still be able to participate in aspects of the retreat, though medicine serving will be at Gaia’s discretion. In most cases, only a very small amount—or no medicine at all—will be offered, as illness itself is already an initiation process.
